2) add the flour, salt, vanilla, and cinnamon to the blender and mix
3) preheat your oven to 450 and let your batter sit for a few for better texture
4) put your muffin pan in oven for a few minutes to heat up then take out and spray with cooking oil spray
5) fill the cups up halfway
6) bake for 15 minutes at 450 and do not open the oven at all during this time. Turn temperature down to 350 after the first 15 and cook an additional 15 or until slightly browned but not too crunchy looking😉

How to clean your child’s bath toys!

-First, shake and squeeze bath toys until they are completely empty. Add to clean sink and plug the sink so you can fill with water. Avoid using this solution on overly-porous toys.

-Fill sink with HOT water until toys are almost/completely covered.

-Add about 1/4-1/3 cup of bleach (water should equal around a gallon) and then stir with whatever you have handy…in this case, it’s my husbands mirror mwahahah.

-Let toys soak for around 15-20 minutes. Feel free to squeeze the toys (preferably with some gloves on) to make sure the bleach gets inside. Once the toys are finished soaking, rinse thoroughly (a good 2-3 times) with fresh hot water and then set out to dry. Easy peasy!! If you don’t want to use bleach you can also use vinegar for a chemical-free option. Please “follow” our blog so you can be alerted when I make my next post….the EASIEST trick to keep bath toys free of mildew FOREVER!😉

DIY multi use sewing box-FREE!

Who doesn’t like a FREE (or close to free) organization project?? This one is simple and quick as heck to boot. All you need is an empty baby wipes container, a few spools of ribbon, and your pins laying around for sewing purposes. Ok start with your empty box:

Now fill with spools of ribbon:

Feed ribbon through wipe slot on the top and close the lid:

Add your pins to the soft plastic for safe keeping!

The best part about this project is that it keeps everything tidy and you can organize your ribbon and pins using as many boxes as you need to. The slot makes it super easy to just grab the ribbon you need and pull it to the length desired and just *snip* Thanks for reading and I hope you try it out! Best Chocolate Chip Cookies! (thus far)

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies! (thus far)

Today I had a really strong urge to eat warm, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, homemade cookies. I asked John if he would partake in the devouring of said cookies, and with his giant smile of approval, off to the kitchen I went! My mother has always used the Toll House recipe for her cookies and I have always LOVED when she makes hers, but no matter how many times I try, that recipe never turns out right for me and just leaves me wondering what I did wrong. Today I decided to switch things up and try something new. The result was deeeeelicious and I would recommend this recipe to anyone. Keep reading to see pictures of what I did and get the complete recipe.

First combine sugar while you soften your butter in the microwave (or on the counter if you prefer that)

Add butter and mix together until mixture is creamy. Ignore giant lumps in your brown sugar.

Starting to look yummy! Take a second to enjoy your kids smiling (instead of fighting) and laughing at the sound of the mixer.

Love those two so much. Ok, back to the cookies. Now add your eggs, one at a time, until they are mixed in completely.

Add vanilla extract and mix together.

Next, dissolve your baking soda into the hot water and add to the dough mixture.

Add salt now too

Add your flour in one cup at a time. Generally, I never listen to rules like that. Add one egg at a time? Sure ok….then I plop all eggs in at once and start mixing. But with flour, you have to listen. It combines so much better this way and also it keeps you safe from having a face and outfit full of flour.

YES. Just yes.

Add your desired amount of chocolate chips (and nuts if you prefer to have a little crunch) and start rolling in about 1-1.5 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie tray for baking!

Bake around 11-12 minutes or until the edges are brown. All ovens vary in temperature obviously, so just keep an eye on your first batch to gauge how long to cook yours!

These were cooked perfectly!! Soooooo tasty. Enjoy every last bite.

PS. Check out the bottom of these….perfectly cooked! So impressed with these cookies…you have to try them for yourself!

  1. 1 cup white sugar
  2. 1 cup packed brown sugar
  3. 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
  4. 1 tsp baking soda
  5. 2 tsp hot water
  6. 2 tsp vanilla extract
  7. 3 cups all purpose flour
  8. 2 eggs
  9. 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (or your desired amount)
  10.  Walnuts, pecans, almonds….any type of nuts you would like if you want some crunch to your cookies.

Enjoy!!! Please leave a comment below if you decide to try the recipe out…I’d love to hear if you liked them.
